How Rude

How rude is this............I was at home enjoying myself to today - it was rainy outside so I was snug in my bed when all of a sudden I was grabbed and rushed into Nathan's room and the door was locked tight - help - dognapping

is what I first thought and then there were all these strange noises happening and honestly I thought I have got to get out of here to see what is happening to my family. I barked and barked but no one took any notice at all. I was getting frantic as my favourite buddy was out there and the noises sounded so terrible I thought something bad must be happening to him. A little later the noise went quite and I thought here I am all alone and something terrible has happened to my family I must try and escape from the bedroom so I barked myself nearly hoarse. Then suddenly I heard Mum's voice so I gathered up enough strength to bark again to let Mum know where I was. Then I heard footsteps coming up the stairs and the door slowly creaked open ohh the sweet relief when I realised Mum was all right and so where the rest of the family - next thing Mum shoved me out the laundry door and barred me from inside - what HAD I DONE WRONG to deserve such treatment. After about 10 mins Mum suddenly let me back inside - about time too I tell you I have been treated so badly today that I was seriously thinking of running away. I raced downstairs to check out what had happened while I was locked up and would you believe it but there was such a mess in the downstairs room with cords, computers, screens everywhere - the old desk which was my favourite place to hide and sleep under was gone and in it place a brand new one - I can't believe the size of this thing. There is plenty of space for me to hide under it and never be found. After checking everything out I retired back to bed as I was absolutely knackered. I tell you one thing I am not a young as I used to be - it sure is hard work looking after this family of mine.

Whew I could sleep for a week. Thought I would add a photo of my favourite sleeping place - Nathan's bed . Whoof Whoof.

We got visitors, we got visitors. I can't believe this Mum tried to trick me. She got these bones out for me and I thought Hello I am getting these a bit early - then thought well I might as well tuck in and chomp them up - I just was settling in for a good gnaw when I head these voices and not only 1 or 2 but lots and lots.........soon forgot about them bones. This is a little more exciting than chewing bones. I raced inside through the doggie door and flew down the hall way where Mum promptly scooped me up - she always has to spoil my fun. I barked and squirmed but she held on pretty tight. I realised one of the ladies was my neighbour and she ALWAYS spoils me rotten. I finally managed to get out of Mum's grasping hands and boy oh boy was there so many people to sniff and greet - it was like all my Christmas' had come at once.

I got lots of pats and tummy rubs I knew they couldn't resist a handsome chap like me although I did hear someone mention something about short leg syndrome when I barked to get everyone's attention. I have no idea what he was talking about. Everything settled down and Mum started playing this music and everyone went really quiet so I decided to catch up on some sleep - I was just nodding off when everyone got up and went upstairs where there were these delicious smells wafting off the table, chocolate, cheese it was enough to drive a body mad with desire. All of a sudden I found myself picked up and shoved outside with not a piece of cake in sight. Mum was mumbling something about people tripping over me and she didn't want anybody to break a leg etc etc. I won't dream about tripping anyone up - although it might have got me some cake though. I decided if I couldn't have any cake I might as well eat my bones.

Not much exciting happening today although Dad is home and so I made sure I kept out of his way - somehow I get the impression that Dad doesn't like me too much. The pic above is of me keeping an eye on the cupboard for Mum as I am sure there is a mouse in there and I have to earn my keep you know. So till tomorrow Whoof Whoof.

Hi this is my very first post. My Mum decided to set this up for me as I thought it would be a fun thing to do. So this is my dairy about the life of a Dog - not just any ordinary dog here but a hunter extraordinaire. This is nearly my full time occupation protecting my family from all the things that try and invade the yard and house. Sometimes they have no idea of the danger they are in. Every morning my first duty is to race outside and check out the pool make sure it is safe in case they want to go swimming. I have found all sorts of things in there, birds, mice, toads and more toads, lizards and other creepy crawlies. Then it is a few laps around the yard stopping to lift the leg (wait a minute if I lift my leg I am likely to fall over due to the longness of my body and the shortness of my legs so I have to squat) to mark my territory.

This is me in my favourite bed. I love to surround myself with my squeaky toys and mum is constantly getting me new toys to play with.

Mum and Dad sure have been busy racing around this morning - the house is getting a good clean they get out this machine that makes the most horrible nosie and it keeps trying to get me - no matter when I go it seems to follow me around. Dad has it out at the moment so I am hiding behind Mum's legs. Help I am sure Dad is out to get me with this monster. I wonder whether we are getting guests over - Oh boy I hope so as I love having visitors. It is such fun to race around and smell them and get lots of cuddles and pats. Well I am off to check out what Nath is doing as that monster has finally been put back into its hiding place.

Will let you know if we get visitors - I am so excited.
